ANDREW DOBBS

Tennis Professional

Andrew grew up playing tennis in Carrollton, Texas. Some of his junior accolades include The Texas Slam boys 16’s doubles champion, USTA boys 16’s top 10 national ranking, boys 18’s doubles number 1 Texas ranking, and 3rd place singles finish for Newman Smith High School at the UIL 5A level his senior year.

Andrew went on to play college tennis for the University of Idaho. His senior year he earned a Division I national doubles ranking of 23. After Andrew’s playing career, he started his coaching career as an assistant at multiple colleges at various levels. In 2016 he earned a Division II South Region Coach of the Year award, amidst many other accolades throughout the years.

Andrew moved back to Dallas in 2017 and has worked as the Junior Tennis Director for LB Houston and Junior Development Director for Fretz Tennis Center. In addition to junior coaching he has assisted in multiple NTRP levels and TCD levels of adult drills. Recently he was the head middle school and upper school tennis coach for Alcuin School in Dallas. Andrew is also a PTR level II certified tennis coach and a PTR certified pickleball coach.

In his spare time, he loves reading, playing on his USTA men’s 5.0 league, spending time with family, and learning new things.
