Joined High Point: March 1999

Dencil is in charge of High Point's adult player development. He is responsible for a wide range of programs and services including assignment of tennis professionals to prospective clients, organization of adult teams for local and state tournaments, and coaching/traveling with teams to local, sectional and national tournaments. He also teaches both individual and group tennis lessons and works closely with High Point's Junior Tennis Programs.

Prior to joining High Point, Dencil was Managing Director at the Colonial Tennis & Swim Club in Ennis, TX where he oversaw daily activities such as marketing, sales, and special events. Dencil was also Director of Adult Tennis at The Academy, John Newcombe Tennis Ranch, New Braunfels, TX. During his tenure there, he worked under tennis notables such as the late Clarence Mabry, John Newcombe, Owen Davidson, and Phil Hendrie. He represented the Academy at national and international tournaments and coached the John Newcombe International Touring Team. He also organized tennis clinics, exhibitions, and tennis programs for their adult players.

Before moving to Texas, Dencil was Assistant to the Director and Head Tennis Professional at the Myrtle Beach Tennis and Swim Club in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.  A few of his coaching accomplishments include:

Winners: Dallas Cup (2002, 2005, 2010, 2011)

 1st Place: Women’s USPTA Championships, Houston (2003, 2012)

 Winners: Champion of Champions Cup, Houston (2010, 2011)

 Champion of Champions Cup, Houston, 2nd place (2012, 2013)

 3.5 Women's USTA Sectional Champions (2009)

Dencil earned his Master of Science degree in Sports Management and Marketing from the United States Sports Academy in Daphne, Alabama and his Bachelor of Science inBusiness from Lander College in Greenwood, South Carolina.

His professional affiliations and volunteer activities include: Dallas Professional Tennis Association Board Member, United States Professional Tennis Association Member, Children Helping Children Tennis Tournament Volunteer, Prince National Team Member, and Head Advisory Team Member. Dencil is a USPTA Certified Professional.
