Tammy Whittington-Patys grew up in Plantation, Florida training with tennis legends Chris Evert & Tim Gullikson. In junior tennis, she was a Top 5 Florida Junior and Top 10 USTA National Junior. Tammy played at the University of Florida where she was a two-time All American and four-time All-SEC player. Tammy was also recognized as the player with the most wins in one season (1987) Gators tennis history and made the “Best All-Time UF Tennis Players” list.

After college, Tammy joined the WTA Tour – the worldwide professional tennis tour for women. In a professional tennis career that spanned almost a decade, she won more than 200 career singles/doubles matches and competed in the main draw of 8 grand slam tournaments (Wimbledon, U.S. Open, French Open and Australian Open), against notables such as Chris Evert, Martina Navratilova, Steffi Graf, Monica Seles and Gabriela Sabatini. This success earned her a career high WTA singles ranking of 105 and doubles ranking of 119.

Prior to joining the High Point staff, Tammy was a Tennis and Pickleball Pro at Gleneagles Country Club. She will continue her role at High Point with a major goal of increasing Pickleball play in the area.

In 2019, her first competitive year in Pickleball, Tammy won three Gold Medals as well as a Silver in Women’s Doubles & Bronze in Mixed Doubles at the Texas Open. She also won the Triple Crown (3 Golds) at the Oklahoma Senior Games. In 2020, Tammy won Bronze at the PPA $50,000 Mesa, AZ tournament in Mixed with big wins over 3 national top teams & 4th in Women’s Doubles.

Tammy is married to Christophe and currently resides in Plano, TX with their two children, Nicholas and Marie.
