Future Stars is for the player with little or no tournament experience. The program is designed for the young player who wants to work on his/her game through organized play situations, group instruction and drills. The main emphasis is on play situations that use challenge ladders, tournaments and round robins. Enrollment is limited – players who completed the previous session will have priority when registering for the next session.
Players who are new to Future Stars must have taken two (2) group classes or have equivalent lesson experience. Students are encouraged to take private lessons in addition to participating in Future Stars.
Competitive Junior Development is designed for players with limited tournament experience and/or players preparing for future tournament competition. Class time is divided into three parts: drills, play situations, and conditioning. Instructors encourage players to enter local youth tournaments by informing them of upcoming tournaments, providing entry blanks, helping to arrange transportation, and accompanying and observing players during tournaments whenever possible. Players are encouraged to take private lessons in addition to participating in Competitive. Enrollment is limited-players who completed the previous session will have priority when registering for the next session.
